I've always loved to travel but Judy -you are to blame for my cruise addiction! I don't get to satisfy it very often but you've been such a blessing to help plan the two wonderful adventures we've had so far! I still love to road trip - I'm all about the planning and the journey to get there - so much so that the destination is almost an afterthought! Can hardly wait till I get to pack up again for another trip!

Speaking of fishing, if you take a fishing shore excursion, the answer is no you can't bring your catch on board and ask the chef to cook it. LOL

You're right, Barry, there's no such thing as a silly question from a first time cruiser. I just try to answer as many of them as I can in my brochure. The skiing question you mentioned reminded me that lots of people ask if they can fish from the ship.

Agreed, there are some "interesting" questions at times. For example, I've been asked things like "is the water in the toilet seawater", "can I ski behind the ship", and my all-time favorite "if I book an outside cabin will I get wet when it rains". I always make sure to remember that when you don't have 20 cruises under your belt, these are perfectly reasonable questions and deserve a serious answer.

There are not many romantic men like Tom !. I have been married 48 years to a wonderful man but he isnt quite like Tom but I love him dearly.
Have a lovely Easter and as your readings tell us enjoy each day as it comes especially now that we are in our twilight years. We have just come back from 2 wonderful weeks in Egypt and we look forward to going to Canada in June so we are living life to the full.

In 1983, as a young newlywed, I was hired as an office manager at a radio station in Springfield, Missouri, that played Big Band music. All of this music was new to me at that time, and there were many songs that I didn't love, but I fell in love with so many that are simply timeless classics, like the songs you mentioned above. So, despite my age, I'm familiar with all those. Thanks for the memories, Tom & Mary, and for sharing your love story with me and my readers.

Dear Lovers :)
Today I am having a particularly bad day and nothing seemed to help in cheering me up enough to overcome the physical pain (because when you laugh and love or "lovingly laugh", you don't think about your pain so much). On top of it, it's been raining and a short while ago we had one of those "that's it, if you haven't reached the arc, you are done" rain storms. Hm, what to do? Nobody here to talk to, worries about my son, who (at 18) of course knows it all and suddenly reached that puberty stage they normally go through at 14+ and which I hoped he'd skip all together. Well, guess I was wrong... Now what? Physical pain, of course, increases with worries! What can I do to overcome this w/o too much morphine? Ah yes, read the "Whimpy blog again".
So I did, and skipped a dose of chemicals that doesn't heal anyway, only surpresses it for a little bit. Now I am still hurting, don't get me wrong, but at least I am smiling a little.

P.S. In your 80's? NO WAY! The seventies were hard enough to believe but 80's? You two are seriously a match made in heaven, even if the maintenance has to be done on earth for right now. You two are simply beautiful!

Such a great positive, constructive attitude towards life and love, wonderfully well planned surprise for the love of his life. Come on, Wimpy can't go wrong with anything, the cruise ship must be a palace afloat.
